Awards Night.

Tonight I attended the second awards night for our Royal Ranger and Teen Girls Ministries groups. We held all of the awards over and gave them to each kid group by group and then finished up.

I have been in this program since the very first wednesday night at our church. Tonight was my last night as a boy. I am now going to be recognized as a young man and luetinant commander.  Tonight I walked away with the Achievement Medal, GMA, Silver, Bronze, 75 Spirit Challenges and many awards. I received a buck knife from Pastor Himself. I really want to thank the church for a wonderful career in the Ranger program and all that it has done for me. I think that this is a ministerial proram that is out to change the course of every boy’s life to the path of Jesus Christ.

I would also like to thank Pastor Cliff Scheline who has been my leading commander for 14 years. All the time he put into making me who I am will never be forotten. Wherever I go, and whatever I do, I will never forget him. Nor will I forget the furvor and energy he placed on making a difference small or great on someone’s life. For me…. it was a great difference, and I am all the better and closer to God for it. Thanks, Pastor.  Thanks to you, I did it!Rangers

I just want all to know that this urks. When we cannot show the pride of our nation, one that we have pledged all even unto life to support, we are dying. How can the flag that stands for the thousands of men and women who laid down their life so that an ‘opinion’ can be made to take away that freedom? Who thinks they have the gall and nerve to take down the flag of the United States, and put it on the floor from a wall of a working woman who has pride in this nation? When does it occur to someone, that they take down the symbol of the strongest nation, one oathed to God himself. When we get to this point, we are no longer free, we don’t stand for our country and all is counted non-existant or not important as far as the high price of blood is concerned. Read it and tell me you can’t agree.

“[Listening and Doing] My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,”- James 1:19

The Lord’s Day.

Another start of a beautiful week. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous and what better reminder of God’s creation! This morning at Riggins Assembly of God is our first trial with the new video and sound systems. We are jazzed to get this thing going.

Here’s a verse this morning.  Coming out of Psalms-

Psalm 19:1-

The heavens declare the glory of God;
       the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

This is a just another reminder that all the beauty that we get to see every day, no matter what form it’s in, is all God’s. Whatever he made shows his work. We should be ever greatful, but we never always are.
