After a few hours of sound engineering at my local church I hopped over to Denny’s for a quick cup of coffee. That quick cup became 6-7 over the course of 3 hours. Needless to say that I’m glad I waited. Every morning I listen to the old Midnight Radio Trucking Network, now Redeye radio. Once again there was talk about some victorious thing in Occupy Portland. Gary McNamara was talking to a lady named Aaron about the win, supposedly that the movement had, including questions directed to the movement and why what happened was important. I literally listened to this lady give the same answer to different questions, to the point that it was frustrating to listen to. The more I heard the more frustrated I got, and once again was introduced to exactly how pointless this movement is. Basically, if you think about it, this movement is simply an unorganized rebellion of unhappy people. Yes, there is government corruption, I believe that. Yes, there are things that could DEFINETELY be changed in this country. But, yes there is a better and more kooth way if you will to take care of the problems we have. One of them is not what the occupy movement is out for. Her claim was money is not a method of free speech, which I agree with…and that it is wrong for corporations to push any particular campaign….which I don’t agree with. Her reason is that corporations are not entitled, whether for profit or not, to free speech. But really, occupy is a group of people, as is a corporation. A corporate movement or decision of a company is the voice of many members, as is the message from occupy. To say occupy has a voice because it is not a corporation is simply not right. A corporate voice is the echo of its people.
Occupy——-> =Fail.
